Since
the first steps of the negotiations followed by the official
announcement of the project of a Humanistic and Impressionist
Institute AGUTTE-SEMBAT, with the full support of the Association
of the Friends to the AGUTTE-SEMBAT Institute on 16th October
2005, an agreement was signed with the town of Bonnières
and approved by the Maison du Tourisme du Mantois in December
2005.
The ASIHI was given the keys of the AGUTTE-SEMBAT house in
January 2006. The house was first opened to the public on
5th March 2006 ; the first concert was played in Georgette
AGUTTE’s workshop on 25th March 2006. The first lecture
was delivered on June 9th 2006 and the first exhibition and
sale of works by auction took place on the following day.
Visits were made by the curators of other galleries ; archives
were produced for the benefit of searchers ; guided tours
were organized with the help of a visual document ; temporary
exhibitions of the works of various artists were made thanks
to loans granted by members of the association…
